Dori Stone, President

Dori graduated from UC Davis in 2006 with a degree International Agricultural Development.  Her first book, Beyond the Fence: A Journey to the Roots of the Migration Crisis (published by Food First Books in 2008) explores the underlying forces driving U.S.-Mexico immigration, as well as promising grassroots alternatives on both sides of the border. Dori's second book, Growing Home (a novel published in 2013) illuminates the realities of mental health, homelessness, and cultural diversity in modern-day America.  Dori has been a student and practitioner of Nonviolent Communication (a methodology developed by Dr. Marshall Rosenberg) since 2010 and volunteers as a community mediator with Wilshire Creative Mediation in San Luis Obispo. Dori's personal vision is to help foster greater harmony and less violence on the Earth during her lifetime.

Gloria Wilson, Secretary

Gloria holds a degree in Philosophy from UC Santa Cruz, where she was also trained in permaculture. From her experiences facilitating student groups and directing community theater, she's seen how people thrive when they are welcomed and accepted into a group. Her hope is that by participating in Common Ground Worldwide she will be able to create more opportunities for inclusive social interaction within her community. Gloria currently serves as a leader of the Paso Robles Demo Garden, a project of Common Ground Worldwide.

Salisa Riveralara, Treasurer
