Many Thanks to Our "Earth Angel" Volunteers
A few of our "Earth Angel" volunteers with our new banner!
(L-R: Beverly, Rev. Cynthia, Jane, Marilyn, & Norma Jean)
Since October 2009, we have created & donated 1,345 warm items of clothing to local countywide shelters. Common Ground Worldwide is based in San Luis Obispo, California, where there are nearly 3,800 men, women, and children, who are homeless in our county. As a result, we always need new volunteers.
Our "Earth Angel" volunteer team meets several times a year to knit & crochet warm gifts, which are donated to shelters during the cold fall and winter months. For our meeting time, day, & location, please send an email to:

This program places people, who are unhoused and too ill, injured, or disabled to be living on the streets or in a traditional shelter, into temporary housing. Services are provided via agency referral only. Their website is: http://www.nowheretogo.com/. Common Ground Worldwide supports their efforts and hopes that you will donate generously to help with their compassionate programs.

Reverend Cynthia Rae Eastman (President)

Allen Lu (Treasurer)Driven by curiousity and a passion for unity, I first joined Common Ground Worldwide (CGW) in its humanitarian efforts to reach out and connect with those experiencing
homelessness in San Luis Obispo. CGW,founded on the principles of multicultural and interreligious sustainability, serves as a base for me to blend various ideas and help implement actions that will bring awareness to social issues. The experiences I have had thus far, as well as those in the upcoming future, will increase my capacity to contribute to society as I pursue my Masters in City and Regional Planning at Cal Poly. As this story unfolds, I hope to develop and integrate my vision with that of CGW, as we continue to create a common ground where an adventure I call "life," awaits.
